Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She was raised listening to classic and old boleros, as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, along with any dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play music at an early age alongside her mother. She received more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. After 2000, she emigrated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her love and love for music. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
